Cards and Stationary

We create individual cards using vintage postcards. All our postcards are 50-100+ years old and were sent long before mass produced greeting cards. They evoke times gone by but the sentiments remain the same and each and every one is different. We also upcycle old and damaged children’s books and create unusual cards.

Seasonal

We change our stock to reflect the seasons with an emphasis on Christmas where we offer unusual and quirky gifts that cannot be found in shops and are perfect for that difficult to buy for person. We also sell Christmas Tree brooches imported from the USA many of which have American rhinestones to add that little bit of extra Christmas sparkle.

About Us

Vintage Wishes is owned by Nicola Kennaugh and is based in Barnstaple, North Devon. We sell a personally selected and curated range of gifts many of which are handmade by us or made locally and cannot be found in shops.

What We Sell

All sorts of unique and unusual gifts, including hand knitted cupcakes (calorie free!), contemporary corn work (commissions taken), vintage brooches mounted on vintage postcards and handmade cards made using vintage postcards and books from 1895-1950’s.

History

We love beautifully handmade items and are a passionate supporter of the Buy British campaign so set up a small company specialising in selling locally produced gifts for the home. Having lived in North Devon for 7 years, we now source most of our items from local makers/artisans right here with the rest being carefully curated to fit with our vision.
